It’s been a while since the last update, but we’ve been working away in the background to bring some excellent and varied layouts to Mansfield for the 2010 exhibition.
Ian, our exhibition manager has so far managed to confirm the following layouts:
- Forks Trestle – On30
- Hatton Parkway – N gauge
- Hornby Dublo – 00 gauge
- Summat Colliery – oo gauge
- Llanerfyl – 0 16.5 gauge
- Severn Road – oo gauge
- Stockwell Road – oo gauge
Once we have more details on these layouts further information will be added to the website.

I have just completed a 78″ long 0 Gauge light railway layout. You can see the story of it here: http://forum.mtimag.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=466 it will be at the Crewe exhibition on the 24th Jan.
It is mostly scratchbuilt, card sleepers Code 100 rail for the track and pointwork. Plastikard for the loco bodies, old Hornby 00 wheels, brass chassis and Mashima motors. The vans and wagons made from card and paper and the one coach from Plastikard. The locos will run at 5 miles a fortnight all day using a homemade pulsed fedback controller.
If you would like to have to the layout at your exhibition may I ask one question about the parking, can the exhibitors park on the Church Hall site?
