Llanerfyl is an imaginary extension of the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway and is operated as a preserved line. Most of the models to be seen represent stock that has, at sometime, worked on the real line; or might have done if I like it. I have tried to capture the feel of a light railway with a simple track diagram and corrugated iron buildings all inspired by what may still be seen on the real W&L.
0-16.5 is a nice scale/gauge combination as it has the benefits of 0 gauge scenic items and mechanisms etc. from 00. However the is virtually nothing available ready to run, so all stock has to be built from kits or from scratch, but that is all part of the fun.
